what's the connection, honestly?
last sunday, we went to alabang for mass for the first time in a year i think. it was great finally going back to st. james for a mass. i miss that place so much, as do i miss my former village of 8 years. yes, we did get to spend mass there again, and yes, i was able to relieve the great moments i had there in the past (the salubongs, the christmas masses, the every sunday masses, and everything else), but the sad part was we didn't even get a seat. we arrived late, as usual, due to human errors on our family's part. as a result, we arrived 10 minutes late, and to a cramped church. we just stood at the back for the entirety of the mass. that was kind of sad, but of course just the familiar atmosphere of being part of the mass was great for me. it was as if i was back in my home. hehe. oh, then we went to town to do some chores and eat lunch in china star. lol. i didn't want to eat there, but my mom forced me into it. so we ate, and i eventually got full up and i eventually admitted to liking the food served ahaha. i also browsed through some phones and found the most sensible buy, the nokia 6600. my mom said we'd discuss it when my dad returns 2 weeks from now.
well anyway, my cousin's party eventually pushed through at 3 pm that same day, but not before a little of an adventure in the streets trying to find the place. lol. after a bit of shouting with my mom on arguing about the location of the place, we got to the place with little worries. lol. the funny thing about the party was, instead of the party having the usual prince and royalty tunes as the mini-debut started, they played those filipino novelty songs ever so loud in the small room. hahaha. weird djs, those there. it was fun watching kids i didn't know by name or face at all (they were relatives of my dad's sister-in-law) dance around to the tune of the novelty songs. i practically couldn't understand anything i was reading in the page of the da vinci code. anyway, the party went, with the 7 roses (with my brother being part of it, lol, i couldn't believe he danced with my cousin =)) ), 7 wishes, and 7 gifts. we ate, they had a magic show and a lot of games, and basically, that was it. it was nice seeing those relatives of mine actually fund up for a party like that for their daughter, with their condition and all. i'm amazed.
i've been reading books along with the usual watching of television lately. well, i've been reading A book, and that is the da vinci code. i'd finished it this morning, re-reading the book after i forgot all about it in a years' span. it was nice reading it again, and remembering why i liked the plot so much. haha. anyway, i bought the alchemist last sunday because of claims of my classmates and friends that it was a great book to read. i started with the 1st page a while ago, but then i was in rodney's house, so you couldn't expect me to be understanding a lot of words as i was reading. i mean, it's rodney's house. what do you expect? haha. after i read the alchemist, i'll try reading the 5 people you meet in heaven book as well as the tuesdays with morrie book i've been excited to read ever since the school year. i guess after reading all of these, i'd be a better man inside? lol. i hope.
this summer has still been inactive for me, as i haven't gone out enough and done enough to call it a productive one. my days have been spent with me either using the internet and chatting, or watching tv, or just playing with the ps2 when my brother's conveniently using the computer, using the gba emulator. hahaha. i've been addicted to watching the outcome of the nba season, and watching f.r.i.e.n.d.s. nonstop. i've also formulated a schedule of tv shows i should watch. that's how stupid and pathetic my summer has been. it's been totally passive, with me learning practically nothing. they say watching tv makes your brain turn for the worse, and if that's true, then bad things are happening to me. lol. oh, i've lately watched the last round of the masters' tournament too (the golf one). haha. i used to love watching and playing golf, back in the tiger era, when he was winning everything. i loved golf so much then. but then recently, i've stopped watching due to disappointment on my favorite player and inspiration not winning. but he's back! yes he is! my love for golf has come back now that tiger woods won the masters' title last monday. he's number 1 in the world once again! woohoo! in other news, i've decided to concentrate more on neopets again. lol. at least, i'll be training my favorite pet. it's another thing to do once i sit in the computer's chair, rather than just hop around blogs all day long in vain. haha. oh, i think i'd be taking badminton lessons. but that's just what i think. i'm actually not sure of my mom's plans. i think she wants me to take karate or something- and i don't like that. lol. oh well. my sister already has a summer thing - cooking. she had her first session today. seemed fun for her.
i went to rodney's a while ago. as usual, i arrived too early for him to wake up. haha. he was still asleep when i arrived, so i let him take a bath while i tried to make the tekken 5 ps2 game to work on his malfunctioning ps2 console. sadly, our 2 hour bid for it to work failed miserably. so much for playing ps2 games all day. haha. we never did get to badminton either, as it was either too hot, or we were too busy with watching movies or using phones to distract ourselves from the movies we were trying to watch. lol. we ended up just watching those tv commercials about products in other countries (ehem thailand, korea, china, japan) which have outrageous claims on healing and/or better aesthetic effects on the body. it was funny how they dubbed their voices and how the people in the screens looked as if they were being adobe photoshopp-ed. haha. it seems weird that the country actually approves of these products being sold on the market. does it really work? i don't personally think so. but it gives us great laughs anyway, so what the heck. lol. i honestly don't get the connection on one of the products, the handy roller. it was a product you use on your skin to make you lose weight. weirdly though, in the background, jlo's song "love don't cost a thing" was playing. ahahaha. it was really funny. anyway, as we ate lunch, we talked about novelty songs, which led to all of us singing them (eg. ibigay mo na by jessa zaragoza) haha. rodney eventually downloaded some of these songs like chupeta and the aegis song. LOL. other things we did in rodney's were to watch the grudge (american version) which was not scary at all, so we used our phones and tested ringtones while the movie was playing. haha. and we also watched another movie, although we finished it in 30 minutes, due to all the fast forwards. haha. lastly, we ate yellow cab pizza for merienda and then i had to go. i never did see allie and her surprise. what was it?
i think i have a little bit of a phone crisis. i'm thinking of whether getting the sony ericsson k700i phone or the nokia 6600 phone. the nokia's older, but i'm leaning towards buying it simply because of it being a nokia phone. i'm used to nokia, and i can't see myself parting from the brand anytime soon. i'm still not sure though, and it's up to my dad for the final decision as to paying for half the expenses on the phone. at any rate, i'll be losing money. haha.
*oh btw, do you know that BILLY CRAWFORD sang the pokemon theme song? it says so on my "pokemon: the first movie" soundtrack i had ever since i was 10. i think it's the only original cd i PERSONALLY bought. haha. weird, what a small world.
