Haphazard Thoughts

do you believe in stars?

do you believe in the whole astrology thing? how did the people even come up with such a science like that? by just looking at the positions of stars and planets and stuff? i mean, do they have any real basis as to how to predict all those compatability and luck results? as absurd as it may seem, sometimes, i just can't help but believe in horoscopes and astrology. i mean, when you look at the descriptions of the horoscopes and compare it with a person in the same sign, you couldn't help but make some similarities. like me, i'm a virgo. like the books we read yesterday while going to michael's house said, i am a shy, very organized type of person. i yearn for individuality and peace, not noise in overcrowded surroundings. i like to be stylish when it comes to transport, and i weigh everything up before i make any decision. i mean, it all fits! except for the eating healthy thing =)). and as i looked at my classmates' horoscopes, i found that just as well, they matched up quite similarly to the ones written on the books. how could that be possible? later on, we checked out the compatability horoscopes for the signs, and once again, this caused me to be depressed. why is it that all my previous crushes, (ever since prep) all fall under the same three signs that match up so bad with my own sign? i read and read and all i kept getting was "bad match all around" and "don't even think about it" and "the similarity between these two signs ends at their intellectual understanding". if all the things were true when we read the other book concerning our personalities, then will this thing be true too? tell me, should i believe in horoscopes or not? sometimes i just want to think that horoscopes are bullshit and i could have a great relationship with anyone as long as we set our mind and hearts to it, but these put my mind in a state of unease. help me.

yesterday i went to francis' house in the morning a bit late because of american idol. anyway, to sum it short, i watched carrie win in the morning so i was late. haha. go carrie! i loved her songs. congrats to both the finalists, and to all the final 12 as well. i loved the whole 2-hour show actually, with the simon cowell controversy =)), the top 10 worst auditions and the all-star singing. it was great to watch! anyway, i went out of topic. i bought kfc and go nuts for the trip to michael's house, expecting a BIGGER attendance. however, after the trip to francis' house which consisted of playing sorry, watching friends, eating lunch, and reading the astrology books, we arrived at michael's house with rain following us and only a few people inside to boot. after all the dust settled, the rain stopped falling, we ended up having 11 people in the house, including michael. hahaha. so much for a class affair huh? and only 7 of us were actually from soph-c, so..yes. haha. anyway, swimming was thrown out and poker and cranium sessions were the main events. i joined in only in the practice poker sessions, as i am still trying to get out of the low-cash zone in a safe and secure manner, and not in a risk it all type of game =)) ahaha. anyway, i exchanged phone files from johann's and rodney's files, and wound up with my new message alert tone! yehey, finally. the highlight of the day there for me was the cranium session, which, even though i didn't finish, was very fun indeed. chio and johann were funny =)) ahaha. i didn't know who won, but who cares? lol. bonding pa rin yon. anyway, went to town at 6:20, ate at north park, and went home with siblings and mom.

oh, i got to wear my new shoes yesterday! yehey. but that came at the cost of my foot, which is now bleeding. haha. i don't know why, i think it scraped against something in my shoe T_T. damn. oh well.
