transport vs. teleport
anyway, i spent last last saturday in enchanted kingdom. a day after, we went to boracay for a 5 day, 4 night thing with the family. i know many people would be annoyed if i posted the long article on these trips, so i've provided an expandable post summary. whee. thanks to blogger for the code. if ever anyone out there would have the time or patience to read what happened there, just click the link below the whole blog. by the way, pictures will come later. right now, i can't find the camera =)) i'll notify you guys when i've uploaded them on multiply already.
enchanted kingdom.
the trip to enchanted kingdom was for my dad's company's family day. it had been a while since ayala land had had a family fun day in enchanted kingdom. i can still remember 6, maybe 7 years back when we would have 3 consecutive trips for 3 years to ek for the family day. they were fun filled, and at the time, my best memories. anyway, we went to the gathering at 7 am, when the park was still closed to other people. there was a mass, we had breakfast, and basically had games. there was this sort of amazing race ripoff, where you had to do tasks around the park in different rides to score points for your team and all. there were different teams. we belonged to the blue team (i think we were separated by division of work). anyway, the competitors were pre-selected so we weren't able to join. instead, the "normal" people were treated to games of different sorts in the food court. anyway, when the thing was finally over, we were able to tour the park. we rode on the rides, pretty much the usual thing you would do. 3 rides caught my attention that day. one, we visited the 4d theater, the first time we actually had the chance, since the line was short (it was early). second, the anchor's away ride, which my family rode. i didn't join them, lol. the thing that was funny about this one was they were persuading me to join them. they were so eager to ride (it was their first time), and as the ride started, they were shocked. =)). i took pictures of them while they were panicking =)). the funniest thing was, my sister stopped the ride! haha =)). thankfully though, the other passengers didn't know that the ride stopped short of its' supposed riding time, or else my family would have been hated by the crowd that morning =)). anyway, the last ride that i loved that day, the best one for me actually, was the go karts track. the money was worth it for someone who hadn't tried driving in a go kart before. that was one of the best experiences of my life. my whole family took to the track that day, except lola. i ended up having a blast, while almost hitting a girl in front of me. i think she realized that i was dangerous to her safety so she let me pass after i followed her almost the entire time. haha. i want to go karting again soon. bea!!! haha =))
boracay trip
the next day, we went off to boracay. we took a plane in the morning to albay. as i said, i am (or was) scared of planes, so before flights, i always turn white and i usually don't say a word hours before we take off =)). that's me. after a short flight (thank God it wasn't another trip to the states), we arrived. we took pictures outside of the aircraft, which again, i'll post as soon as i buy a bluetooth dongle to transfer my phone files to the computer. this bluetooth thing might actually serve as a great birthday present for someone i know. if i could only get the money i need in time. anyway, my phone memory's going low because of all the pictures i took during the ek and boracay trips, so i really need the dongle fast.
anyway, on to the trip. we took the island tours package thing going to the island, so we were picked up by a van, and travelled for an hour and a half to caticlan. then we boarded a boat to boracay. upon arriving, i soaked my pants =)) i'm crazy. i brought 4 pairs of pants on the journey and no shorts =)) anyway, we were treated to a complementary welcome on the island by our hotel, which was the seawind hotel. we took rooms 34 and 35, and quickly took a bath.
i have a vague recollection of the exact events that happened since it's been a week, so i'll just tell you a summary. basically, upon settling on the island, we went out and bought a lot in d' mall. my brother and i drank coffee while watching people play volleyball. me, my brother, and my dad left the others to shop while we walked the shores. we found a lot of sandcastles along the way, and saw the sunset (all in my phone memory). after that, we ate at aria and i ate carbonara. that was it for the first day i guess. the next days were pretty much the same, with us shopping, swimming in the beach, and seeing all these foreigners in our hotel. it was fun actually, one time, i stayed at shore hearing the conversation of the american kids (i think there were 10 of them, belonged to 4 different families) were playing football or catch. they were saying "i'm open, i'm open" and all that. ang saya nila panoorin, sobra =)) oh, the only person i knew in boracay that i saw was bertha lina. haha. i couldn't actually tell what her name was until 1 hour after i saw her. i couldn't remember her name. lol.
oh yeah, etc and disney channel were present there in their dream cable so it was nice. over the next days, i watched numerous episodes of blind date, elimidate, and the like on afternoons when it was hot outside =)). we got to watch recess in disney channel, and other cartoon shows i haven't seen in over a year. it was great. i also got to watch air crash investigation. hehe. oh, and the amazing race! woohoo! rob and amber got first there! whee. fun. american idol was fun too. go carrie! anyway, i watched all of these shows while we were in boracay.
we ate at different places there, but we ate multiple times in aria and pier one. i loved the food at pier one, especially their sisig. haha jam. in aria, i loved the pizza and pasta. they were great. other than that, there were the usual breakfasts at our own hotel, seawind, and other things. that was pretty much it for the food.
one day, we went island hopping. we were going to snorkle when i got seasick because of the waves. i easily panic over these situations, parang sa plane. we eventually got to the snorkel spot though, and we had a fun time seeing all kinds of fish on the bottom of the boat. too bad i didn't have a water resistant camera, unlike jam =)). sayang. after snorkelling, we battled rough waters going to puka beach. the waters were so rough that the boat had to stop and go just to avoid tipping over. whee. that was the scariest moment in boracay for me. owel. anyway, we arrived at puka beach, ate lunch, collected shells until we were about to pick them up and put them in a bag. we saw the sign that picking shells was punishable and had a price, so boom, 30 minutes wasted =)). owel. after eating lunch and buying stuff from the stalls, we came back to the boat back to the hotel. this time, i actually enjoyed. thank God. haha. that was it.
the next day, we rode the banana boat. it was a great ride! i was never actually worried or anything about the ride, unlike the previous day. it was really enjoyable. too bad there were no pictures on this trip. i would do that ride over and over again if i had the chance.
swimming was great. the shoreline's beautiful and you could see tons of fishes when you just plop your head on the water. goggles would help of course =)). i chased fish that were swimming in the water. i found out that if you get sand from the shore, throw it to a spot in the water, all the fishes would scramble around it, thinking it were food =)). so that's basically what we did, my siblings and i, apart from wrestling in the water =)).
it was only the last day that we decided to tour the island on a tricycle. we got to the eco park, the butterfly farm, and other sights. we also saw the nami hotel that day. it was a great hotel. lol. really secluded. perfect for those private people. and it had an elevator! whoo! ang ganda nung place. anyway, we were sort of upset that we didn't tour the inside of the island earlier, where we found so many activities we didn't get to do due to lack of time.
i bought a lot of things on the trip. i think i bought 5 shorts, and that's a lot for me, considering i only had 3 before i bought those. lol. i bought 4 rosaries too, one for me, and the other 3 for pasalubong. i think i'll give one to her. i would have bought more, but then my lola bought the other rosaries to give to her kids T_T. lol. i got a boracay shirt too. so basically, i bought the most out of all of us siblings. a first! haha.
i got sunburned after the trip. it was so hot, record highs in the country even, during that week. i got badly sunburned on the face, so i had to stop swimming. haha. until now the sunburns are there (some of them anyway). i gained 5 pounds i think, lol. but through all that, i still loved the trip. it was nice to get out of the house.
thursday, we went back to caticlan through a boat after lunch in seawind. we took a bus from there to albay, where we slept. at the airport, it turned out that a flight was cancelled earlier in the morning so people were scrambling to get on the flight before us. so with that delay, our flight was delayed as well for later that afternoon. we spent the time waiting by eating at a local restaurant just off the airport. my siblings just tore through the food, while i saved my appetite because of the upcoming plane ride. anyway, we finally rode the flight back, and i found that i wasn't that scared of planes anymore. i watched the whole flight, never closing my eyes. haha. upon arriving home, my parents quickly packed for their next flight the following day to bangkok. lol. they're a bit hectic, aren't they? that was my boracay trip.
*sorry kung disorganized, i kind of rushed this =))
well anyway, after coming back, i had sunburn all over my face. thankfully, they were gone when i went to town and to the dentist with my siblings last saturday. my sister got her retainers already, which means that she probably would finish braces quicker than me T_T, and i got my lower braces fixed. hopefully it's the last time i have to go to the dentist for a fallen bracket, since i don't wanna spend another year with these things T_T. we went to town that day, and since my parents went to bangkok a day before, we were alone (of course, there was a maid there. my mom doesn't trust us alone, haha). all we did was eat lunch, watch "xxx2", and go to timezone, powerbooks, the normal stuff. xxx2 was alright, but i couldn't really see if it was as good or better than the first movie since i didn't watch the first movie. lol. i'd give it an 8.5/10 though, for effects and the like. it was good watching an action movie again. what i'm really excited for though, is star wars. a few more days to go! woohoo! oh yeah, i completed bob ong's book collection that day as well, as i bought "ABNKKBSNPLAKO?!" from powerbooks. yay! now all i have to do is read them all =)). lastly, we took a haircut (my hair looks different again) from the barber shop going home, and bought a bouquet of flowers for our mom. basically, all our money was spent that day, leaving us with NO money at all. i have to ask my mom to reinburse our town expenses =))
yesterday was mothers' day. our mother wasn't at home most of the day because my parents went off to bangkok for the weekend. i greeted some people's mothers a happy mothers' day, and to all i didn't greet, belated happy mothers' day to all mothers in the world. thanks for everything you have given us, and taught us in our life. thanks for all the care that we always receive from you guys. i don't agree with the statement by khalil gibran in the "dekada 70'" book. in objection to what he said, we children do have the responsibility to care for our parents as we grow old, we are not supposed to leave them by the time we get to a mature state, rather, we must stay with them and offer them the same care that they offered to us unconditionally when we were young and couldn't tend for ourselves. as elders say, roles are reversed once you grow old. anyway, we gave our mom the flowers last night when they arrived at home. there were no celebrations, since it was too late in the night. anyway, we slept at their room last night. hehe.
these past few days, rather than concentrating on chatting and blog hopping all day, we've found new things to do, albeit also boring. haha. water guns have been the weapon of choice, between my brother and me. we've been playfully fighting using them. haha. it's fun though, it brings back your inner childhood =)). try it! we've been having a lost marathon too. we've watched episodes 10-20 in the past 2 days, and downloaded lost:the journey. you see, i've become super addicted to it already. i can't wait for the dvd. in fact, i've been experimenting on making these episodes into vcds, and they worked. but the problem is, only 1 episode can fit in a vcd, so imagine creating 20+ vcds T_T. takes a lot of time, and wastes a lot of cds. so right now i'm pretty content in watching it from the pc. at least, before we get the sims 2 game. woohoo. i'm really excited. oh, like pepe, i've been having rather strange dreams lately. dreams i can't explain. they're all school related though, or at least, they involve people from school. one made me extremely nostalgic. haay. is there a dream doctor or something?
on to some random things. school is less than a month away T_T. i don't know, i just always love the summer. i don't like seeing school, or thinking of it. the only thing that makes me desire to wake up early everyday and go to school aside from my future is the company of my friends, and my inspiration. haha. without those, i won't be working as hard, that's for sure. so now i have mixed emotions on school coming up. i just don't want summer to end. i hate thinking, haha. i'd rather that my mind stays relaxed, and i don't get tons of pimples. of course, thankfully, i'll see her again in a month's time. i'm really looking forward to that moment. =) oh, kimi raikkonen won yesterday! woohoo! finally, thank you Lord. oh, and scott is gone from american idol. another celebration. i mean, i feel pity for the guy, but he really should have been gone a long time ago. way before constantine and anwar. haay. well at least the top 3 are there. i wish carrie, vonzell, and bo the best. the harry potter: goblet of fire trailer is out! CELEBRATE! WOOHOO! i can't wait to see the movie. to see the trailer, click here.
tomorrow is my brother jaren's birthday. i think he'll have a friend over. they'll play and stuff i guess. natatawa lang talaga ako kasi isang friend lang ang inimbita niya. hahaha. what could 2 people do to pass an entire day? i guess they have something planned. the water guns may come in handy =))

I liked the way how to write your memorable experience moment in philippines especially in boracay. You still stay for so long in the one another place. I hope you can post some photos.
