ah the things i miss
junior year has been different for many different reasons. first of, the hac is gone. i've constantly blogged about being nervous on this predicament the whole summer, and now, i'm finally experiencing it first-hand. my first day as a junior student was full of emotions, of both negative and positive feelings. when i arrived in school last monday, i quickly realized how different everything really was going to be. it was the most nerve-wracked first day i had to endure in the past 7 years, dating back to grade 4. even though i know my batch very well (i'm talking about the people in it and their personalities), it just feels different when you get to be classmates with them and talk to them daily. anyway, i felt depressed most of my first day in jr-e, and i constantly ranted about my class and how different i felt about it. but as the day ended, it finally got to me that i would have to adapt to the surroundings and so i began appreciating my situation. even better, i found out that all my hard work last year paid off. that made my day turn around completely for the better. it seemed as if all the frustration i had felt over the past 8 hours of school disappeared in an instant.
yeah, so after the highs and lows of my first day in school, everything seemed to stabilize. by that i mean the normal, boring, systematized learning in school. it became apparent to everyone that school was back, and there was no better sign to do this than by the teachers assigning us homeworks that last us all night. yehey. all of a sudden, homeworks are everywhere, projects are starting, and consecutive quizzes are scheduled. ah the life of a student. no more sleeping at 12 am and waking up 12 hours later, relaxed in bed. no more hanging around all day by the computer, or just being lazy all day in one of your friends' houses. oh, it's good that we (my hac classmates) were still together during mornings, breaktimes, and dismissal times. that really makes everything better. i've adjusted to my classmates already, i think. i'm as annoyed as i was with them during the first day. i guess i expected too much from a disciplinary point of view =)). and i've lost weight! but that came at the price of an empty stomach and a possible clash with sickness in the future. you see, i haven't been eating in school. this is so i could lose weight and save money at the same time =)) stupid idea noh? i know. oh well. at leat i've lost 5 pounds in a week. o diba? stres+lack of nutrition = weight loss + sickness ahaha. anyway, all in all, the first week has been okay. i think i could survive the next ten months of school. at least, i hope i could. i would need a lot of inspiration to do that though, and some food =)).
now it's time for the usual complaints and stuff. now, why are they requiring us to wear our id's in school? waah. naman eh. lol. and i still haven't got my id. i want to retake the picture that the school took. i looked uglier than my usual self there. lol. argh. hopefully they don't print the id yet. i need to change the picture there! next, there's the issue of the dismissal time. it's 4:25! aaah nooo. well actually it makes no difference to me since either my sister has these varsity practices that happen until 6 or my mom decides to come and pick us up at 6 T_T. either way it's still going to be me going home late. haha. another problem is the lunch time. even though yeah, i don't eat in school =)), it's still weird that we go to lunch at 1:45. in fact, this friday, the mass was late and we got off to lunch at 2:30 =)) now if it was last year, after lunch, it would've been dismissal time already. nakakatawa. our new teachers are um..well tell me what you think of them after reading this.
english: the teacher's okay. i miss sir viroomal though. haha. it seemed to be more laxed when he was the teacher. plus this new teacher gives us an impromptu speech on our first official meeting =)) freaky. other than that, he seems to be nice.
physics: he's our adviser. some other sections got sir lasap (and i'm envious, lol), but this teacher's alright. he's a bit boring but at least he's kind and all. yeah. i guess. i don't think i'll do well in physics though, i never really liked shapes and vectors and shit. kinakabahan na ako.
filipino: what could i say? of course i'm happy. i mean, it's miss caldo. we already know her, and she's nice. that thing johann told me last year is making me laugh everytime i see her though T_T. hahaha.
algebra: another miss vicky is in our lives. T_T. why is it that all teachers with that name suck? =)) she has a scary smile that she uses all the time. it's worse than the previous algebra teacher (you know who i'm talking about). miss vicky=procedures. ok fine. greaaat. the count is weird rin. it's like we're back to kiddie stuff. haay. i hope i do well in algebra this year, especially because there's no gem anymore. we have to do homeworks na T_T. why did you leave miss alcausin? WHYYYY. naman eh.
geometry: miss patty. patty and vicky oh yes. both came from divine light academy. ang weird. mtg T_T. well at least she's better than the other math teacher. the only problem is the notes thing. she doesn't allow copying while listening. i'm thinking she doesn't believe that we could multi-task T_T haay.
philosophy: sir cortel! whoo. his subject is VERY VERY tough, and i expect to have low grades in his subject and that scares me to death, but i like his voice. =)) nakakatawa eh. anyway, yes. we haven't heard a joke from him yet, ang daya! so far the first few meetings have been good and enriching, even though i'm sure when the tests come, my mind would be swirling around trying to search for answers. i really am not a think-out of the box person. i'm a very precise person, so yes. T_T i figure i'd die trying to think outside the box this year. haha.
economics: formerly known as ap. the teacher's very nice. i like his subject, and his personality definitely makes his subject one of my favorites. rodney, bea, elaine, francis, and the other section c people are lucky to have him as an adviser. i'm looking forward to this subject.
special subjects: pe is alright. i don't want to ballroom dance though. haha. scary shit. t.h.e. is scary as usual, as ms. sison is the one teaching once more. hopefully i could get through this year's cooking. i barely made it through last year. again, thanks to my cooking group last year for doing all the practical work. lol. art is alright, though i'm nervous about sculpting. art is just not my thing. music is fine, at least i'm not in general music. haha. i don't like their teacher. tom version 2 kasi eh. i'm fine with ms. natividad even though i get lower grades than the general class. lastly, computer. LOL. miss ECH-TI-EM-EL and BIH BIH. i really miss sir pats. damn. she doesn't seem to know a lot on her subject. she's too strict rin, kahit na wala kaming pakealam. haha. she's just fun to laugh at, if you know what i mean. again, i really miss sir pats. i don't want a misspel.com anytime soon =))
okay, so that was long. i'll now leave the school topic. lastly though, the mass last friday was great. i like how "kuya joey" does his sermons. it's more interesting that way. haha. go go go. the id joke in the end was err. lol. anyway. oh, sorry dainie! sorry talaga. haha. i do hope the red stain was removed from your jacket. tell me if it wasn't, so i could pay for it. i'm really sorry. johann kasi eh. =)) joke. that really was funny and mean though, what you did to the iced tea =)) i won't forget that moment anytime soon.
we went to town yesterday. my family and i watched mr. and mrs. smith. the movie was great in terms of action sequences, but lacked a good storyline. but anyway, i still give it a good rating. 9/10, just for the action scenes and the compatibility thing. haha. the fight in the house was great. =)) i want a dvd of that soon. but again, kawawa pa rin talaga si jennifer aniston. lol wala lang. oh btw, i got to buy an english translation of el filibusterismo and noli me tangere. the 2 in 1 book in powerbooks costs just 300 pesos. i tried to convince my mom to buy the hardbound ones worth 800 but of course, they declined. haha. at least i have english copies of them now! i'll finally be able to read it faster than 2 minutes per page. haha. my dad finally agreed on us buying the star wars trilogy box set. hooray! i watched the bonus dvd yesterday. ang saya. oh, we bought a dvd of the phantom menace too. the story was stupid, but still. yehey! we have it na rin! haha.
random stuff. today's independence day, the day over a 100 years ago where we got freedom back from spain. it doesn't feel as if it's independence day though, as our country's quickly getting weaker and weaker and the government's under turmoil once again. i even thought that there was another people power today T_T haaay. i have lost all respect for the government, quite honestly. this is exactly the reason why my parents want to leave the country so bad T_T. i hope the country could finally get over this huge hump and prosper once again, but my wish is almost impossible at the moment. lets just hope for the best. we have disney channel already! woohoo! lol. ang saya. now all that's left is etc. hopefully we'll be getting that too. *crosses fingers* tomorrow there's no classes, hooray. i'll be able to meet up with my friends again and play basketball and badminton before school begins..again. T_T. whee. finally, i've had a HAIRCUT!!! nooo! lol. my parents and relatives think it's nice and all, but i have a disturbing feeling that other people wouldn't. scary. it's way different. and the gay hair person put gel on my hair. it feels err...different. hopefully all you guys would not laugh once you see it hahaha. we'll see in 2 days.
belated happy birthday to cj (6), misty (7), mel (9), and isaw (11)! =)
