the chance to learn and serve

although it's been tough in school, i'm glad that i have friends to make me hang around in it.

i applied for lsyc last monday, hoping to get a chance to be in it. most of my former classmates are in it, and i would love to be with them as much as possible this school year. the interview went well, i think, and i actually had a lot of fun while in the interview. of course, having them as my interviewers helped. diba? :D it was weird being sandwiched in front of more or less 8-10 people while supplying answers or talking. but anyway, i knew most of them, so it wasn't that scary. thankfully i didn't worry that much, so i think i answered well enough. ahaha. anyway, hopefully, i'll be going to the retreat in 2 weeks time. tama ba michael?

i also have a yfc application form with me right now. i'm doubting that i'm going to join this retreat though. i think i have plans for next week already. anyway, i'll probably just join at a later date, whenever the next retreat would be.

the "monthly" arranged thing in my house was cancelled, because of the soph-c dancers' practice schedule colliding with it. of course, their top priority is the dance, and i wouldn't fight that. after all, what would be better than to see my former classmates dance for one last time together on stage? it would be a great sight. sadly though, i don't think stephen is going to be in the lineup. stephen, i hope you get well soon. as for the monthly thing, i hope we get a date on august that's suitable for a sleepover. i don't think this is going to be possible though, as august and the start of september are pretty much fully booked to homeworks and tests. the most feasible projected date now is after the 1st term finals, which is a long, long way away.

school's been hectic. as usual. but it makes me happy that all my hard work actually results to well...results. it's really a nice feeling when you work your ass off for days and months and see good results from it after all has been done. it's like a driving force that tells you to go on, for whatever you do today will be accounted for in Heaven. hard work reaps rewards. you've got to remember that. anyway, i spent a lot of my time these past few nights trying to finish my art project. art's never been my forte, so it was great just finishing the project. it took me so many hours to finish the thing, and even though it looks utterly disgusting, you could see the hard work put into it. and because of that, i'm happy with my work. it means a lot to me just finishing any art activity. plus, the added fact of me having an insanely painful headache last monday and still being able to finish homework that day is positively uplifting. when there's a will, there's a way! ahaha anlabo.

i don't want to swim in school. well, just not in pe class anyway. if only pe class was 2 periods, and not on a thursday with 50 minutes alloted for each subject. T_T. it really is going to be annoying and boring to have to change and swim just for a few minutes, having to go back to the showers 30 minutes later to catch up for the next subject. argh. i do like swimming, but only if i could spend at least an hour and a half in a pool or beach. ah well, 2 more weeks and it's off to swimming.

honors' convocation is in a week. i'm excited already. in fact, i can't wait.

let me ramble on my favorite issues. wimbeldon was nice, though it's sad that andy roddick lost for the 3rd straight year to federer. argh. hopefully next year, he beats federer in wimbeldon. kawawa naman yung tao eh. ahaha. tiger woods lost again, though he was 2nd AGAIN in the western open. haay. well, on the bright side, at least he's actually finishing in the top 2. diba diba? kimi raikkonen got 2nd place last sunday! yehey. i'm so proud of him. go kimi! lance armstrong has the yellow jersey! celebration! i really hope he wins this year. after all, it is his final tour de france. what a way it would be to end his career by winning his 7th consecutive tour de france crown. that would be an amazing accomplishment. lastly, on the world pool championship. i haven't watched a lot of matches, but i've learned that efren reyes and bustamante are now both eliminated. it's sad. hopefully a filipino wins the tournament, though i'm actually rooting for alex pagulayan. i don't really know where he is right now though, ahaha. sana buhay pa.

that's it. goodbye. =)
