Haphazard Thoughts

false alarms?

hey. well as i start this post, the time is 5:41 pm on my computer screen. my mom called me up an hour and a half ago warning me of an apparent earthquake that would hit manila. when i asked her where the warning came from and who told her that, she said that text messages were spreading the "upcoming" earthquake. she told me to take care of my brother and pray if the earthquake occurs. so we got down for merienda (me and my brother), ate yakisoba, and watched american idol until 5, while anxiously waiting for the 'quake. the time passed by, and nothing happened. i gotta ask, who made up the message anyway? T_T. it seems to be a false alarm, or even a stupid prank by some weirdo who's bored. anyway, 45 minutes have passed now and nothing's happened. so hopefully, there is no earthquake at all and we'd all be safe.

anyway, i've been thinking of my section next school year. when i was younger, i was always drawn to section E, for it has been my section for 4 years, 3 before the hac, and 1 as part of one. i'm getting the feeling that i'm going to section e once again this year. lol. well, whatever it is, i hope some of my former classmates stay with me so that i know some members of my new class at least. hehe. i'm looking to go to school on monday to see the classlists. this is great, i'm finally excited about knowing who my classmates are again. that hasn't been the case in a while. haha.

tv marathon. again. this has been my ultimate hobby at home along with staying on the computer's chair. i watched the amazing race yesterday, and i was happy after the show. rob and amber were still first! yehey. i also watched american idol yesterday, and of course a while ago while waiting for the "earthquake to happen." i have to say congratulations to constantine and carrie. lol. they're still my favorites, and they're still alive. yehey. lost appears a little bit later on, so i have another show to look forward to tonight. as for the rest of the time spent at home these days, neopets is there. i'm not into caring for my pets anymore and stuff, lol. for me, it's all about battling nowadays. there's this upcoming war so i'm doing my best to be best equipped and ready for that. haay. stupid life huh? haha. oh, i watched happy gilmore a while ago too. it was my favorite movie before, and is still one of my top movies. i don't know, it just seems to make me laugh everytime i see it. probably it's because of my love for golf and hockey, and also because i like adam sandler as an actor. hehe. it's great that i don't have glasses yet even though i'm stressing my eyes every single day of the year in front of the tv and the computer. thank God.

i'm still thinking of how i'm going to earn money to buy a phone when it's summer time. i've asked my mom if i could do some office work for her for a price, but i don't think she has anything for me, except an 8-hour job with her in her office with a minimum wage as payment T_T. i personally don't want to sweat myself out and have a premature burnout this early on in the year. i have enough of those in school already. haha. so right now, i'm pretty much forced to just conserve every bit of peso remaining in my wallet, and forced to eat close to nothing in the first 2 months of the year to gain the right amount for the phone. i won't be getting any allowance from my parents during the 2 months, just so i could get the proper amount. whee. fun. time to be thrifty.

the problem about the saving thing is that i'm planning to have a so-called "mini shopping spree" this summer. i'm running out of shirts and pants and basically every type of apparel, all because of my laziness to shop. i'm not the shopping type of guy. lol. my mom and sister often get frustrated because of me telling them to stop shopping and opting to go home instead. haha. but now i really need to buy all sorts of clothing materials. it's time for a new set of clothes and new pairs of shoes. jordan XIX here i come- hopefully. oh, i also need to shop for books to keep me off boredom this summer. i've gotten suggestions on what books to read this summer and
so far, here they are:
  • a wrinkle in time

  • the 5 people you meet in heaven*

  • tuesdays with morrie*

  • noli me tangere*

  • the umbrella man

  • the rule of four

  • the alchemist*

  • 100 years of soltitude

  • veronica decides to die

now the ones with asterisks, i have already. lol. time for some shopping.

my sister is currently attending cooking lessons in makati. haha. she already has a summer thing. good for her. hopefully she'll cook for us after the sessions are over. and hopefully, we don't get poisoned. lol.

lastly, rodney's going to the u.s. tomorrow. bye rodney! don't forget our pasalubong! lol joke. remember to check your mail or to chat on monday ok? i'll try to take pictures of every section and send them to you! ahahaha. anyway, goodbye everyone.
