Haphazard Thoughts

former classmates...almost

with 6 days to go before the end of the summer break and the start of the new school year, thoughts keep on popping into my mind about the coming year. the new school year presents a whole new challenge for me. (ah crap i've told you all about this in my posts last march so i'm not going to expound) anyway, 6 days left before my classmates for 6 years aren't my classmates anymore. i can't talk to them every night comparing homeworks and having group studies online =)) ahaha. what's worse is, my barkada's totally split up from each other. lucky for the other people that have some of their closest friends with them, but in my case, there is none. lol. francis, rodney, johann, mark, stephen, chio, martin, dom, michael, jebi, are not with me! lol. i got no boy classmates from the hac except mark salvan. hi mark! haha. owel. hopefully in 6 days time, all will be okay.

yesterday i went to fran's house for a barkada gimmick and basketball meeting. we watched the miami-detroit game, played basketball, played the ps2, watched friends, and the like. it was fun playing with them again, especially when we played basketball in the rain. hahaha. of course, after playing in the rain, i had a headache all night and almost got sick. but hey, at least it has healed now. lol. and it was fun! oh, i need to buy the revenge of the sith game in ps2 asap. nakaka addict shit. haha. we also got to feature our new shoes yesterday. basically everyone was wearing white shoes except for johann. boo! lol joke. i got out of my 8 game losing streak in francis' house - yay! thanks to francis and his family for all the food and stuff whenever we go to your house. haha. parang haven na eh. =))

anyway, i expect to have a full schedule this week since it's the last week of summer. i still can't believe summer's actually ending already. haay. being the obsessive-compulsive freak that i am, i made a schedule. here's a simple overview:
tomorrow: pepe's birthday @ town
thursday: karting in the fort
friday: town again with friends
saturday: fix stuff in bag and everything else that regards school
sunday: spend excessive time in the pc, tv, and ps (last day of doing this the whole day) =))

i watched the miss universe pageant this morning along with the nba western conference finals. i tell you, it's not good switching channels whilst watching both of these. haha. you end up cheering wildly while looking at girls in their underwear =)) and you don't even mean it. haha. lesson learned. anyway, miss canada won. congratulations to her. i still have a crush on miss australia 2004 though. haha. miss philippines won the award of miss photogenic. yehey. she wasn't that pretty, but then it's still a great award. it's too bad she didn't make it into the top 10. i had a fun time watching the top 5 being interviewed. kawawa sila. imagine the pressure put on you. anyway, because of the pressure, everyone pretty much lost their poise. most of their answers didn't make sense anymore. haay. canada was the only one with a good enough answer anyway. so i expected her to win. hopefully one of us wins the pageant soon. that would be great! here are some pictures, hover on them.

i read the article about the new xbox, the xbox 360 in the latest time magazine issue. it has all these great features in it. gahd. i wonder how much this piece of technology costs when it comes out.
microsoft xbox 360
oh, the play station also has a new console coming out next year. the ps3 looks great as well. gahd. aaahh!
sony ps3
i can't wait until these 2 companies (sony and microsoft) release their consoles. oh, let's not forget the new nintendo console. though, um..well i'm not really into nintendo so..yeah. anyway, it still doesn't have a concrete name for itself and neither does it have a permanent color scheme yet so..this is just a sample of what it would look like.
nintendo's new console
*thanks to nintendospin.com, xbox.com, ps3land.com, and bbc.com for the photos.

in the random things section, phoenix won the game T_T. damn. i thought san antonio would close it out today. hopefully phoenix doesn't come back from a near impossible hole. go san antonio! and go miami! haha. i'm still annoyed at what happened in last sunday's formula 1 race. c'mon! that was the last lap. why did that have to happen?! haay. thankfully i won't be able to watch the next 2 grand prix, held in canada and the u.s.a. i have to spend time forgetting what happened in the last race first before i could watch again. haha. lastly, 9:14 is still haunting me. when i woke up this morning, it was 9:14 am. my gahd. what's happening.

Gliza and Chio passed me the musical baton.

1. Total volume of music files on my computer:
* um...3 GB i guess. recently, i've stopped downloading/ripping music, so it actually stopped rising =))
2. The last CD I bought was:
* I have no idea.
3. Five songs I listen to a lot lately, or that mean a lot to me:
* Signs - Snoop Dogg feat. Justin Timberlake
* Don't Phunk with my Heart - Black Eyed Peas
* Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind (yes. hanggang ngayon =)) )
* Star Wars Theme Song (LOL)
* Disney Classics - Volume 2 and Volume 3 (the ones i recovered from downstairs)
Five people to whom I'm passing the baton:
* Jam
* Pepe
* Rodney
* Vicky
* anyone who likes to take the thing.

*lastly, happy bday elaine! and advanced happy birthday to pepe. yehey. you're both older than i am. congrats.

indelible thoughts

the past 2 years have been a blast. i've learned so many things. even though at times i just want to kill myself, the experiences, inspiration, and joy i've felt throughout this span has been absolutely priceless. but now i think the system in my brain has just gone overdrive. these past 3 days, i couldn't help but think of her once at least every 3 minutes. lol. (i just approximated that of course) the thought of her just keeps popping into my head. now the effect of that could be good or bad, in terms of the timing it actually happens. mostly, it's good, but when late night comes, it's a whole different story. you see, this is the time where you contemplate everything that happened during the day, and all kinds of different thoughts keep fiddling with your brain. it's torture, i tell you. haha. last night was the worst. i couldn't sleep for over 2 hours because i couldn't remove her from my head. well, i did, eventually get to sleep. you know how? by thinking of a blog title about it. =)) the problem went with my dream though. T_T. it just won't go away. my dream was bad btw. for me anyway, i don't know for you. =)) (don't ask.)

we went to town yesterday. we basically came there to buy stuff for school. i got to buy leather shoes from hush puppies. (yun lang daw yung affordable sabi ni mommy at daddy) we bought sticker names, bla bla bla. basta un. i saw ramona and some other zobel alumni in the food court while we ate 4 large kfc hot shots. haha. 2 times, brownout struck town. ang galing. we were in the watch shop pa naman. what if there were robbers there? =)) just a thought. anyway, we bought a lot of stuff from the grocery and pcx (lol rodney and asha). i even got to buy a vans shirt. thank god i got a shirt to wear. i think i'm using 5 different shirts over and over again =)) that's how desperate my condition has become when it comes to clothes. i'm just not a fashion person. owel. anyway, on my way out i saw princess (LOL) with her dad but i didn't get to say hi. i never saw rodney or asha either. T_T what a total waste of a day in town.

last night, we went to mass in our village. i got to offer and stuff. yehey. when i arrived home, i found that the f1 qualifying was over. after finally getting the damned internet to work, i found that raikkonen wound up in 2nd place. yehey. i hope the race turns out well later. i'm seriously angry over the whole ym/internet thing. MY YM AND INTERNET HATE ME!!! DAMN IT. I HATE YOU TOO! =)) thankfully whenever my ym doesn't betray me, i've been getting good conversations, and that is keeping me from uninstalling my ym forever. haha. anyway, my internet worked late in the night, as my lost download finally finished downloading. we watched it earlier today. ang saya! haha. last night was also a time for surfing the net, while waiting for the downloads. i basically spent the night reading articles about american idol, in particular about constantine, and clicking away at football/soccer sites, checking out the latest happenings with real madrid. i have to say i enjoyed myself, even if it was just me and the internet. haha. i got to learn a lot.

this morning, i was alarmed when my mom burst into my room. i found out that it was only because we had an early dentist appointment. haha. i lacked sleep once again. haay. haha. anyway, we arrived at the dentist's place late, so we waited in her living room while another patient was being treated. we wound up watching game 3 between phoenix and san antonio. san antonio won! yehey! =)) anyway, for an agonizing 30 minutes, i waited as my dentist fixed my bracket for the 100th time. T_T. it keeps on coming off. well, hopefully after all that, it doesn't come off again. i've been careful ever since she put it back in place. right now my mouth's open so that i don't accidentally bite my bracket off? =)) better be safe i guess.

a while ago we made mango shake! haha. thanks talaga. :D the mango shake was great! yehey. plus we got to test out our new blender and kitchen materials. haha. i still don't know what those materials are called, however. but hey, you don't have to know if you're doing it right anyway =)).

oh, by the way, click here and use an interesting tool in the zobel site. haha. masaya kasi maghanap ng mga teacher eh. haha. thank you to yaps and monique for the link. oh, and my adviser is sir patigdas. is that good or bad? please tell me. haha. to see a list of the junior teachers, please click here. thanks to the soph-c site. =)

*btw, my pet beagle needs a mate =)) anyone up for it? LOL. let this serve as a poster for any female beagle out there =)) maybe after he mates, he'll finally be the angel he ought to be =)) tama ba princess?

do you believe in stars?

do you believe in the whole astrology thing? how did the people even come up with such a science like that? by just looking at the positions of stars and planets and stuff? i mean, do they have any real basis as to how to predict all those compatability and luck results? as absurd as it may seem, sometimes, i just can't help but believe in horoscopes and astrology. i mean, when you look at the descriptions of the horoscopes and compare it with a person in the same sign, you couldn't help but make some similarities. like me, i'm a virgo. like the books we read yesterday while going to michael's house said, i am a shy, very organized type of person. i yearn for individuality and peace, not noise in overcrowded surroundings. i like to be stylish when it comes to transport, and i weigh everything up before i make any decision. i mean, it all fits! except for the eating healthy thing =)). and as i looked at my classmates' horoscopes, i found that just as well, they matched up quite similarly to the ones written on the books. how could that be possible? later on, we checked out the compatability horoscopes for the signs, and once again, this caused me to be depressed. why is it that all my previous crushes, (ever since prep) all fall under the same three signs that match up so bad with my own sign? i read and read and all i kept getting was "bad match all around" and "don't even think about it" and "the similarity between these two signs ends at their intellectual understanding". if all the things were true when we read the other book concerning our personalities, then will this thing be true too? tell me, should i believe in horoscopes or not? sometimes i just want to think that horoscopes are bullshit and i could have a great relationship with anyone as long as we set our mind and hearts to it, but these put my mind in a state of unease. help me.

yesterday i went to francis' house in the morning a bit late because of american idol. anyway, to sum it short, i watched carrie win in the morning so i was late. haha. go carrie! i loved her songs. congrats to both the finalists, and to all the final 12 as well. i loved the whole 2-hour show actually, with the simon cowell controversy =)), the top 10 worst auditions and the all-star singing. it was great to watch! anyway, i went out of topic. i bought kfc and go nuts for the trip to michael's house, expecting a BIGGER attendance. however, after the trip to francis' house which consisted of playing sorry, watching friends, eating lunch, and reading the astrology books, we arrived at michael's house with rain following us and only a few people inside to boot. after all the dust settled, the rain stopped falling, we ended up having 11 people in the house, including michael. hahaha. so much for a class affair huh? and only 7 of us were actually from soph-c, so..yes. haha. anyway, swimming was thrown out and poker and cranium sessions were the main events. i joined in only in the practice poker sessions, as i am still trying to get out of the low-cash zone in a safe and secure manner, and not in a risk it all type of game =)) ahaha. anyway, i exchanged phone files from johann's and rodney's files, and wound up with my new message alert tone! yehey, finally. the highlight of the day there for me was the cranium session, which, even though i didn't finish, was very fun indeed. chio and johann were funny =)) ahaha. i didn't know who won, but who cares? lol. bonding pa rin yon. anyway, went to town at 6:20, ate at north park, and went home with siblings and mom.

oh, i got to wear my new shoes yesterday! yehey. but that came at the cost of my foot, which is now bleeding. haha. i don't know why, i think it scraped against something in my shoe T_T. damn. oh well.

mini field trip!!

lol. yesterday we had our trip to town, as planned. i imagined only me, johann, francis, rodney, alfred, martin, sarah, bea, and jackie to be there, but i thought wrong. haha. it turned out to be a mini-field trip to town, with almost half of the class being there. though we were never really complete in one place, people like gliza, monique, mariel, kat, kristine, michael also came. haha. most of the guys and sarah watched "revenge of the sith" again. it was great, again, yehey. even though some classmates were talking beside me (lol), it was nice to see those lightsaber battles once again. go yoda! =)). it was fun seeing all the new haircuts of people, and how they've changed from the last time we saw them. the chiqs got their free pictures courtesy of canon. it was funny because they were smiling while fighting anakin skywalker =)) ahaha. after that, there was a bonding session in the food court. haha. johann and i had a bluetooth trade marathon, lol. fun. the day in town was great because we got to see each other as classmates again for one of the last times. tomorrow, there'll be another class outing in HB and the chateau. i hope i could come, as well as the girls. come on! lol. chain effect. ELAINE =)).

argh. when i opened my radio yesterday while going to town, i heard "signs", "don't phunk with me", and "candy shop" in succession. as if they weren't overplayed in mtv already. haha. even worse, when we were going home, i opened the radio, and then boom. the same 3 songs played in succession again! lol. the phenomenon of the songs has returned! nooo. ahaha. i wonder how long they keep this up. they've already forced me to download the songs because of the lss. ahh.

lol. i got this face analyzer thing from gliza. you could visit it here. haha. look at my results, they're so funny. but amazingly, what my parents told me are actually consistent with the results. how did that happen??? ang galing. haha.

click on the link to view it in a bigger and readable size. =)) i can't crop it small enough. lol sorry.

the will to live life

what makes your life lively? would you agree with me that it is the feeling of love? i mean, wouldn't your life be so depressingly boring and dead if love wasn't present in your heart and mind? wouldn't you agree with me that without love, you would accomplish nothing in this world? lol. ang sappy. i thought about the whole love thing when i was at mass, believe it or not. haha =)). anyway, let me explain. i have a very depressing life (well that's what my mind says to me). but i imagined what would happen if i didn't have a lovelife (even if it isn't that good). my world would definitely be very different. i would have never accomplished so much during my first 2 years in high school if it weren't for that. you see, love is an intrical part of every person's lives, admit it or not. be it with a girl you like, or a family member, it is vital to live a good life. (that's what i think anyway) so i'm happy that i have a lovelife, a person to admire every step of my highschool life, because whatever happens in the future, that person will definitely make my life all that more beautiful.

last sunday we went to my lola and lolo's house in quezon city. we did the usual things there, but this time, i found a good way to relieve boredom. as my tito showed me his new collection of pirated dvds =)), i saw a movie that i had wanted to see ever since it came out a few months ago. i never did get to view the movie, as i was too late. many people, including my parents were telling me to watch the movie, as they said that i would see myself in it, and maybe even learn some things in the process of viewing it. HITCH was a funny movie, i must say. i laughed so many times. it was a good way of passing time, and i did, sort of see myself in it =)). tama nga sila. anyway, i also had a back-to-childhood activity that day. right after watching hitch, i went over to my cousins who were playing with a lot of lego blocks. my brother was one of the people who were making guns made out of lego. they used the little orange pieces as ammo =)) nakakatawa sila panoorin na kumukuha sa pocket nila ng "extra ammo" =)). anyway, i decided to join in the building of stuff from lego pieces. i built a "fortress". actually i didn't really know what i was building, i was basically putting stuff on top of each other. haha. but in the end it looked like a fortress, probably because i got so hooked in one mission in ace combat 5 that involved destroying a fortress =)). yeah, so that made me preoccupied until we left lola and lolo's house.

summer's coming to an end and i'm afraid i haven't done anything productive. i bought books that i haven't read, i haven't completed my school materials, i haven't gotten in contact with most of my friends, i haven't gone to some outings i should have been in, and the list goes on. there are a lot of signs that indicate that summer is coming to a close. the weather has been deteriorating as of late, as there is an itcz nearby. rains are falling again, and that could only mean that the rainy season is starting. so with that, i realized that with 2 weeks left, i must really attend every possible thing that i could. hopefully, this is my schedule:
tomorrow: town with friends
thursday: hillsborough with soph-c
friday: town again
monday: beach? ahaha.
wednesday: ek? tama ba? lol.
hopefully matuloy lahat, and that everything goes according to the plan. i will miss the free time and freedom that summer gives. i don't want it to end just yet.

star wars again tomorrow! woohoo! here we come! could someone buy me the whole star wars trilogy on dvd? ahaha. i'll pay for it! =))

livejournal or blogger? or both? haha. it seems everyone's transferring nowadays. it's time to think..again. =)).

kimi raikkonen won! woohoo! go kimi! go kimi! go kimi! ahaha. and there's another race next week! cool. go kimi! go kimi! ahaha. phoenix lost earlier! yehey =)) damn, currently i've gotten a new song to have an lss on. i haven't been watching mtv or listening to the radio for a while, and when i shifted the channel to mtv earlier today, the first thing i saw was snoop dogg and justin timberlake's video "signs". the song's pretty familiar, i think someone sang that before. hmm. ewan. research time. justin's voice is err..high =))

learning fast..

hey! i'm back from fontana. haha. that was an amazing 3 days.

we watched star wars III: revenge of the sith last thursday night, in greenbelt 3. it was the first time i actually watched a movie there, since my parents don't want to pay for us when we could watch free movies in atc or glorietta anyway. i loved the cinema! haha. anyway, that's not the point. the point is, we watched revenge of the sith! whoo. i loved the movie so much, and the shots were just spectacular. they did an amazing job on the computer graphics/animation. oh, and it wasn't like the last 2 movies where i didn't really feel any emotion from it. it had a whole lot more emotions. it's my favorite star wars movie, quite honestly. that's even if the story was dark and had a sad ending. haha. oh, i had an eating marathon while there too. i think i ate 6 slider burgers =)). i'm hoping to watch the movie again with my classmates and some friends on tuesday. yehey.

anyway, we went to fontana yesterday in the morning. the first highlight of the day was when we ate in kfc for breakfast =)). apparently they have breakfast meals now? lol. but the breakfast meals seem heavier than the normal meals =)). it's egg with chicken and rice, so..boom. that's heavy =)) that made me bloated the whole day. haha. anyway, once there, my dad went off to his team building session while we toured clark. there was nothing much to do there so we just shopped in one of the duty free shops and ended up buying cookies, 2 FINGERBOARDS, and 2 JOLLY COW MILK CARTONS =)). see, my brother told me that that brand of milk was the one they used in cafe breton for the shakes =)) so we bought it. and as for the fingerboards..well, i missed the times when we were crazy kids playing those in school. plus my old fingerboards are missing and destroyed anyway =)). i got the bucky lasek special board. whee. haha. after that, we finally found the karting place that we were having a trouble of finding. haha. that for me was the highlight of the whole fontana trip. it was great! whoo. oh, the picture's in my phone. i'll just post it uh..when i transfer the pic =)). we ended up having so much fun karting that we did it again, later that day. haha. i lapped my dad twice! whoo. i'm so happy. jaren crashed thrice on the day, once while trying to pass my sister =)). poor him. he should really be more careful in those things, haha. anyway, we didn't have time to swim that day so we just stayed at home while waiting for my dad, had a hearty dinner, and went off to sleep.

this morning, we woke up at 8 and went directly to the cafe to eat breakfast. all of us ended up ordering the capampangan breakfast, but this was a certain thing, since we already decided on ordering such the night before, when we saw the menu. haha. the tocino was nice, but i would have preferred a different way of cooking it. nothing beats pampanga's best tocino =)). sadly there was no sisig in the restaurant. oh, i also successfully sent my first ever mms message =)). that's an accomplishment in itself. globe denied me several times before. after breakfast, we finally came to the water park, be it a little late. we found a slightly shaded place to sit and then ran off to swim since we only had 2 hours before check out time. after a few laps in the lazy river, we finally saw the wave pool come to life. we did the wave pool a couple of times, having fun bumping and battling the waves. haha. i missed that place. my parents wouldn't let us go on the slide since they said that the stairs were full of rust T_T. crap. and i was looking forward to trying that since the last time we came to fontana, it was still under construction.
but it was all worth it anyway, since we don't get to get out of the house a lot. haha. that was basically it in fontana. unless you count in the weird dreams i've been having continuing there. T_T there was this part where a non-batchmate actually was in our classroom passing out the checked testpapers to us. oh, and there was this part where our old house's garden turned into a deep swamp, and we had to catch all sorts of creatures, ranging from alligators to mini dinosaurs for our t.h.e. grade with ms. sison =)). we were even required to do a project on them, which no one actually understood.

my lola's sister (basically my other lola) celebrated her 80th birthday a while ago. my cousins were there, along with other relatives and my lola's former co-teachers. (most of my female grandparents were teachers in some public school, they even taught my dad and tito.) we ate there, and shared stories with each other. another bonding session with the relatives. it's good that we're actually conversing more these days, unlike before when we couldn't talk about anything. haha. we even talked about my girl cousin's lovelife, be it a little vague =)). ahaha. (hopefully she isn't reading this post. but if she is, hi patricia! =)) )

in the random things section...
i started playing the sims 2 last thursday, before we left for star wars. i only got an hours' work though, so i accomplished nothing on my created "ayala alabang town". haha. i plan on creating real life characters. anyone interested to be included in the town? =)). carrie and bo are in the top 2! whoo! congrats to them. i would've liked a carrie/vonzell finale though, but it's cool. i hope carrie wins, even if it's such a long shot for that to happen. oh, kimi raikkonen got provisional pole just minutes ago. man, he could really fly! whoo. go kimi! your hard work has finally paid off. the time "9:14" has been haunting me lately. i don't know if it's just my mind or whatever, but everytime i look at my clock or watch or phone, it always seems to be 9:14 at least once a day. i always seem to glance upon that number. i wonder why. does it have anything to do with anything at all? haha. well, it's also my birthday, september 14. but other than that, i don't see any connection. *play the twilight zone music* =)) jam has a new blogsite here. change your links if you've linked her =)) she's another one who's shifted to lj. more and more people i know have gone there. bakit kaya? haha. i'm starting to have doubts about blogger too, since the expandable post pages and private posts features aren't available in blogger. T_T ack. i don't know. lastly, it's nice to know other people actually read my blogs. even if they don't really know me, they still care to read it. thanks to those people. =) i really appreciate it. well then, that's it. goodbye! sorry it's long. (to those who are annoyed, i'm sure there are a lot, haha) i probably won't get a lot of comments, but hey, this is my blog anyway. sorry. tc all. =)

mission..accomplished?

yesterday I finally started doing my so-called "summer chores". i finished all my tasks in a relatively short time of 5 hours, compared to my sister's and brother's chores that took all summer to do. =)). i'm so bad. i finished labelling all the unknown cds lying around the house (there are lots of em), and got to listen to some of my previously burned audio cds in the process. =)) (i wondered where those were, haha) i also got to do the "ever-so-hard" job of writing all the files and pictures in our computer to different cds for backup. (this also works for those classmates who want to erase their pictures on my computer, mwahahaha.) anyway, so i did that early in the afternoon. after a little break while watching american idol, i continued with my work. i was assigned the task of labelling all the videotapes that we took using the videocam. in less than 3 hours, while getting to view and watch our vacations, the orchestra's concert, and the interbatch competition, i finished my "HARD" tasks. lol. now i'm awaiting my "prize", which hopefully is 1000 bucks =)). yehey. so mission accomplished! well, for that part anyway.

school is just around the corner and i can't help but feel sad. i love every summer that comes along, even if i don't leave the house too often, because it's the only time for me to relax my brain, sleep, and play all day. ever since i was young, summer has been the time where i get to see and use a lot of things in my house i haven't seen or used in a year's time because of the busy tasks in school. as you might already know, i'm very, very stressed when it's school time, because i easily panic and get pessimistic about things. haha. while when it's summer, i don't have any problems to deal with, and i'm usually more at peace. so pimples, headaches, and the like go away. basically, i'm happier when i'm at home. haha. and now, with just 18 days to go until school starts, i'm starting to feel uneasy again. i'm losing my freedom from work, and at the same time, i realize that for the first time in 7 years, i will see different faces once i step into the classroom. it's a completely different feeling. lets not get away from the fact that i only have my books right now, NO NOTEBOOKS. (i don't know if we should buy notebooks or not, it's not in the freaking list =)) ). sorry, hindi ko talaga alam. haha. so i only have books, a bag, and uniforms that might not fit me anymore (i am definitely heavier now). i have no shoes, no notebooks, and no brain power. haha. this year is definitely going to be a unique one, and i just hope that by the time it starts, i'm ready.

my dad was on leave from monday-wednesday. he finally took a break from work. gahd. he's too much of a workaholic (spl), if you ask me. i don't think i'll be that rigorous with work when i start working. you see, he accepts extra jobs that have no extra pay. T_T. he has enough to deal with already, and his boss assigns him with all these extra tasks with no incentive whatsoever. owel. he's having a hard time handling these and balancing his time. hopefully, the ayala hotels get sold to other companies already so his "temporary extra work" would be over. anyway, finally he took a break. by break, that means staying at home while using the laptop to email and using his phone constantly to contact his officemates =)). but we did, get some time together. we went to alabang country club and atc last tuesday, buying things that we needed. we ate in acc (it was the first time we got to see the new eating place because we hadn't gone there for a while), viewed ica school again T_T (i don't know why they're trying to buy that place), and stayed in town until we watched a movie with my mom when she came from work. the other times, my dad spent his time just sleeping at home. thank god he got some rest.

oh, hopefully we'll get to go to fontana on friday. my dad has this company outing thing there, and maybe he could get us to join, yehey. i haven't been there in 2 years so it'll be fun. plus, i'll get to swim again! haha. and maybe even do karting. wait, friday's tomorrow na pala. haha. anyway, i posted some pictures of my trip to boracay and ek already, you could view them by clicking on my multiply link there on the sidebar. they're not complete yet though, as i'm too lazy to upload pictures. i'll try to finish that later though. =)

we'll be going to the dentist again later this afternoon, so i won't get to watch american idol. haha. i really hope carrie doesn't go out though, i really liked her performances yesterday. would anyone be kind enough to tell me the results later? anyway, after the dentist, we'll be going to my mom's office until she finishes work. then finally, we'll go to greenbelt to watch star wars! woohoo. =)). my countdown's finally complete! hooray! i even watched again star wars 4: a new hope last night just so i could connect 3 to 4 tonight. haha. i'm addicted to it once again. aww. it always happens.

i finally got my phone some images, themes, games, and the like. i used my dad's usb card reader to transfer them from computer to phone and vice versa for backup. thank god i found a way =)) i thought before that the mmc card wouldn't fit in the card reader so i never tried it until this monday. so now, i'm happy. haha. of course, there was a temporary setback when my sounds folder wouldn't work, as i think i did something to damage the folders. lol. but after a few tweaks, i got it working again. yay. oh, we have sims 2 already! woohoo. after writing this entry will be my first time playing though, as my brother has been hogging it since yesterday. it is his birthday gift though, so i can't really complain now, can i? haha. but anyway, it's time to create my very own teen julian and his friends =)).

oh, i think one of our household helpers is going. weird. i don't know why, but our "main helper" kept on telling us that the other one was leaving today. to quote her "iiwanan na kayo ni ***-***, wala namang tatagal sa inyo eh". T_T. whatever. if you only knew the url of my other site, you'd see my feelings towards them. but i haven't done anything to them anyway, to make them angry, so why must they always scold us T_T. maybe it's their way of getting back at my parents? weird. i just hope that the helper leaving us isn't going to steal any of our possessions. haha.

superstitions

friday the 13th came two days ago. many people say and believe that it is a very unlucky day. maybe it was just my brain working pessimistically, but i believe that that day was indeed unlucky, in some forms. it wasn't so serious and problematic actually, as i am speaking of a shallow thing, but i consider it as an unlucky thing nevertheless. anyway, the day started off funnily enough, when i went inside my bathroom to wash up. as i was washing my face, i looked up, opened my eyes, and saw a running spider (a big one) in the mirror's reflection. i ran as fast as i could outside the room. lol. i had to get my LOLA to go and kill it =)). so after furious battles =)) with the spider narrowly escaping the force of the slipper's attack, it lost the battle =)). yehey! hahaha. oh, this was also rodney's birthday. BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY RODNEY! as the day continued, i travelled to school to pick up my books, along with my siblings and my grandmother. they (my sister and maid) decided that the line was too long so me and my lola should go ahead to our destinations while they wait in school (since town wasn't open yet anyway). i went to fran's house at around 10 am and we basically passed time by trying to play a malfunctioning lost vcd, playing scrabble, and this other game i forgot the title of (probably because it was so annoying) haha. we ate lunch, waited for johann and martin while watching friends vcds, and when they finally arrived, played basketball. i lost all 4 games i joined =)) ahaha. but then again i hadn't played in a month so i didn't give myself too much hatred. anyway, it was fun getting to see some of my classmates (kada) again. ack. school's only 23 days away, i think. T_T. sad. my day was fine until probably 9:15 pm that day, where i started to get depressed all of a sudden. all thoughts on the past came back, and bla bla bla. you get the point. thankfully enough, i got someone to talk to about it, even though the words weren't so encouraging. having someone to talk to about something bothering you is nice, it takes some pressure off your brain. so to that person, thanks.

yesterday, we went to town (me and my family), but not before viewing some houses and lots in alabang. apparently they're trying to buy out a house there and make an investment out of it by putting it up for rent. i don't know if that's such a good idea, buying 20 year old homes and expecting people to live in it, but it's their call, so.. yeah. they also viewed some lots, but all my hopes of returning to alabang to live were crushed when i figured out that they were hoping to buy something to again, rent it eventually T_T. so there..we toured all around alabang for a while before lunch in town. we watched xxx2 again, since my parents didn't get to watch the last time. i'm really looking forward to star wars though. 4 more days! whee! in town, they bought shoes for school, while i didn't get to buy any school shoes for myself. i pick out shoes that are too expensive T_T. grr. finally, we ate dinner at tony roma's. finally something went my way, and we ate ribs and stuff. yeah.

oh btw, check out elaine's blog. i got inspired from it, even though the theme and message was sad. hands down, you are the best blogger i know. i got to relate with your blog a lot. go elaine! keep it up =)

addicted

hello again. this summer i've been addicted to a ton of stuff, mostly things seen in tv, movies, or the internet. some examples are my addiction to lost, the nba, tekken, nfsu2, and fifa 2005 ps2 games, american idol, the amazing race, and the nba. i easily get addicted to any show, as long as it has my particular taste. now i don't know my taste in those things exactly, it just comes naturally. i've found a new addiction. it comes in the form of my childhood fantasy, the star wars series. i started watching the special edition TAPES of the original star wars trilogy yesterday, finishing today. i finally understood fully what had happened, and finally connected the first movies, to the recent ones. haha. i used to get confused whenever watching the new movies kasi. so anyway, i got this call yesterday from my dad telling me that he had 2 tickets to see the premiere of "revenge of the sith" for today. sadly, i didn't get to come. my dad tried to persuade my mom to go with him, but she didn't want to watch. argh, sayang un. well, hopefully we get reservations for next week already. i'm so excited.

anyway, yesterday we went to my great grandmother's resting place in makati. she was cremated this morning. she lived a long life, dying at an old age of 91. we stayed at her place from 5 till 11 in the evening yesterday. she was really thin. i don't have a lot of memories of her, and these past few months, she has been bedridden. we visited her late last year when she fell on the flight of stairs, and from then on she never recovered fully. it's actually sad, but i guess her suffering's over now. oh, my cousins and i bonded a lot yesterday. haha. the interesting about this whole thing is my great grandma's name is vicenta reyes, not ysmael. you see, the story's like this: she had a live-in relationship with a guy with the last name ysmael, and they had 2 kids, one my lolo. my lolo adopted the ysmael name though they were never married. then my great grandma married a guy with the last name reyes. and so there. lol. what if my name was julian reyes? eew. lalang.

anthony's gone! whee. that's a good thing for me. haha. i think that the top 3 are now good. i hope carrie wins though. go carrie! is there something going on between carrie and anthony? i hope not. =)). she said i love you! nooo. and they were talking, and holding hands the entire night T_T lol, i don't want them together. oh, rob and amber lost T_T sayang. but oh well, at least they got 2nd. and they're married already =)). sana ipalabas nila yung kasal sa pilipinas. haha. i'm going to francis' house tomorrow. yehey. hopefully it doesn't rain and it isn't too hot either so we could play basketball.

anyway, me and my classmate sam had a conversation about a.i. lol. here's an excerpt. lalang:
margie: and why the hell did the stupid camera keep zooming at carrie?!
margie: tsss
margie: grrr
margie: harumph.
julian: lol
julian: i dont know
margie: but why julian?
margie: i cant believe it!!
julian: lol
julian: I DONT KNOW EITHER
julian: DAMMIT
julian: NOOO
julian: WHY
julian: GARR

hahaha that was funny. lalang. damn my pc's hanging. i'll just post the top 10 survey thing in the next blog. bye everyone =)

transport vs. teleport

hello. sorry i haven't posted for so long, even if i've been back for 3 days already. lately i've been too lazy to type here. i spent my time on other things. anyway, i thought of the title when we arrived in boracay 8 days ago. luckily i remembered to put it in this blog. you see, i have a phobia of riding planes, or boats. boats make me seasick once big waves rock the boat. planes, on the other hand, well i've watched too many air crash investigation shows to be too comforted in one. haha. wouldn't it be nice if there were some way people could teleport to their destinations? haha. i know it's impossible, but it's cool. sometimes i just wish i was one of those wizards who could apparate. haha =))

anyway, i spent last last saturday in enchanted kingdom. a day after, we went to boracay for a 5 day, 4 night thing with the family. i know many people would be annoyed if i posted the long article on these trips, so i've provided an expandable post summary. whee. thanks to blogger for the code. if ever anyone out there would have the time or patience to read what happened there, just click the link below the whole blog. by the way, pictures will come later. right now, i can't find the camera =)) i'll notify you guys when i've uploaded them on multiply already.

enchanted kingdom.
the trip to enchanted kingdom was for my dad's company's family day. it had been a while since ayala land had had a family fun day in enchanted kingdom. i can still remember 6, maybe 7 years back when we would have 3 consecutive trips for 3 years to ek for the family day. they were fun filled, and at the time, my best memories. anyway, we went to the gathering at 7 am, when the park was still closed to other people. there was a mass, we had breakfast, and basically had games. there was this sort of amazing race ripoff, where you had to do tasks around the park in different rides to score points for your team and all. there were different teams. we belonged to the blue team (i think we were separated by division of work). anyway, the competitors were pre-selected so we weren't able to join. instead, the "normal" people were treated to games of different sorts in the food court. anyway, when the thing was finally over, we were able to tour the park. we rode on the rides, pretty much the usual thing you would do. 3 rides caught my attention that day. one, we visited the 4d theater, the first time we actually had the chance, since the line was short (it was early). second, the anchor's away ride, which my family rode. i didn't join them, lol. the thing that was funny about this one was they were persuading me to join them. they were so eager to ride (it was their first time), and as the ride started, they were shocked. =)). i took pictures of them while they were panicking =)). the funniest thing was, my sister stopped the ride! haha =)). thankfully though, the other passengers didn't know that the ride stopped short of its' supposed riding time, or else my family would have been hated by the crowd that morning =)). anyway, the last ride that i loved that day, the best one for me actually, was the go karts track. the money was worth it for someone who hadn't tried driving in a go kart before. that was one of the best experiences of my life. my whole family took to the track that day, except lola. i ended up having a blast, while almost hitting a girl in front of me. i think she realized that i was dangerous to her safety so she let me pass after i followed her almost the entire time. haha. i want to go karting again soon. bea!!! haha =))

boracay trip
the next day, we went off to boracay. we took a plane in the morning to albay. as i said, i am (or was) scared of planes, so before flights, i always turn white and i usually don't say a word hours before we take off =)). that's me. after a short flight (thank God it wasn't another trip to the states), we arrived. we took pictures outside of the aircraft, which again, i'll post as soon as i buy a bluetooth dongle to transfer my phone files to the computer. this bluetooth thing might actually serve as a great birthday present for someone i know. if i could only get the money i need in time. anyway, my phone memory's going low because of all the pictures i took during the ek and boracay trips, so i really need the dongle fast.

anyway, on to the trip. we took the island tours package thing going to the island, so we were picked up by a van, and travelled for an hour and a half to caticlan. then we boarded a boat to boracay. upon arriving, i soaked my pants =)) i'm crazy. i brought 4 pairs of pants on the journey and no shorts =)) anyway, we were treated to a complementary welcome on the island by our hotel, which was the seawind hotel. we took rooms 34 and 35, and quickly took a bath.

i have a vague recollection of the exact events that happened since it's been a week, so i'll just tell you a summary. basically, upon settling on the island, we went out and bought a lot in d' mall. my brother and i drank coffee while watching people play volleyball. me, my brother, and my dad left the others to shop while we walked the shores. we found a lot of sandcastles along the way, and saw the sunset (all in my phone memory). after that, we ate at aria and i ate carbonara. that was it for the first day i guess. the next days were pretty much the same, with us shopping, swimming in the beach, and seeing all these foreigners in our hotel. it was fun actually, one time, i stayed at shore hearing the conversation of the american kids (i think there were 10 of them, belonged to 4 different families) were playing football or catch. they were saying "i'm open, i'm open" and all that. ang saya nila panoorin, sobra =)) oh, the only person i knew in boracay that i saw was bertha lina. haha. i couldn't actually tell what her name was until 1 hour after i saw her. i couldn't remember her name. lol.

oh yeah, etc and disney channel were present there in their dream cable so it was nice. over the next days, i watched numerous episodes of blind date, elimidate, and the like on afternoons when it was hot outside =)). we got to watch recess in disney channel, and other cartoon shows i haven't seen in over a year. it was great. i also got to watch air crash investigation. hehe. oh, and the amazing race! woohoo! rob and amber got first there! whee. fun. american idol was fun too. go carrie! anyway, i watched all of these shows while we were in boracay.

we ate at different places there, but we ate multiple times in aria and pier one. i loved the food at pier one, especially their sisig. haha jam. in aria, i loved the pizza and pasta. they were great. other than that, there were the usual breakfasts at our own hotel, seawind, and other things. that was pretty much it for the food.

one day, we went island hopping. we were going to snorkle when i got seasick because of the waves. i easily panic over these situations, parang sa plane. we eventually got to the snorkel spot though, and we had a fun time seeing all kinds of fish on the bottom of the boat. too bad i didn't have a water resistant camera, unlike jam =)). sayang. after snorkelling, we battled rough waters going to puka beach. the waters were so rough that the boat had to stop and go just to avoid tipping over. whee. that was the scariest moment in boracay for me. owel. anyway, we arrived at puka beach, ate lunch, collected shells until we were about to pick them up and put them in a bag. we saw the sign that picking shells was punishable and had a price, so boom, 30 minutes wasted =)). owel. after eating lunch and buying stuff from the stalls, we came back to the boat back to the hotel. this time, i actually enjoyed. thank God. haha. that was it.

the next day, we rode the banana boat. it was a great ride! i was never actually worried or anything about the ride, unlike the previous day. it was really enjoyable. too bad there were no pictures on this trip. i would do that ride over and over again if i had the chance.

swimming was great. the shoreline's beautiful and you could see tons of fishes when you just plop your head on the water. goggles would help of course =)). i chased fish that were swimming in the water. i found out that if you get sand from the shore, throw it to a spot in the water, all the fishes would scramble around it, thinking it were food =)). so that's basically what we did, my siblings and i, apart from wrestling in the water =)).

it was only the last day that we decided to tour the island on a tricycle. we got to the eco park, the butterfly farm, and other sights. we also saw the nami hotel that day. it was a great hotel. lol. really secluded. perfect for those private people. and it had an elevator! whoo! ang ganda nung place. anyway, we were sort of upset that we didn't tour the inside of the island earlier, where we found so many activities we didn't get to do due to lack of time.

i bought a lot of things on the trip. i think i bought 5 shorts, and that's a lot for me, considering i only had 3 before i bought those. lol. i bought 4 rosaries too, one for me, and the other 3 for pasalubong. i think i'll give one to her. i would have bought more, but then my lola bought the other rosaries to give to her kids T_T. lol. i got a boracay shirt too. so basically, i bought the most out of all of us siblings. a first! haha.

i got sunburned after the trip. it was so hot, record highs in the country even, during that week. i got badly sunburned on the face, so i had to stop swimming. haha. until now the sunburns are there (some of them anyway). i gained 5 pounds i think, lol. but through all that, i still loved the trip. it was nice to get out of the house.

thursday, we went back to caticlan through a boat after lunch in seawind. we took a bus from there to albay, where we slept. at the airport, it turned out that a flight was cancelled earlier in the morning so people were scrambling to get on the flight before us. so with that delay, our flight was delayed as well for later that afternoon. we spent the time waiting by eating at a local restaurant just off the airport. my siblings just tore through the food, while i saved my appetite because of the upcoming plane ride. anyway, we finally rode the flight back, and i found that i wasn't that scared of planes anymore. i watched the whole flight, never closing my eyes. haha. upon arriving home, my parents quickly packed for their next flight the following day to bangkok. lol. they're a bit hectic, aren't they? that was my boracay trip.

*sorry kung disorganized, i kind of rushed this =))

well anyway, after coming back, i had sunburn all over my face. thankfully, they were gone when i went to town and to the dentist with my siblings last saturday. my sister got her retainers already, which means that she probably would finish braces quicker than me T_T, and i got my lower braces fixed. hopefully it's the last time i have to go to the dentist for a fallen bracket, since i don't wanna spend another year with these things T_T. we went to town that day, and since my parents went to bangkok a day before, we were alone (of course, there was a maid there. my mom doesn't trust us alone, haha). all we did was eat lunch, watch "xxx2", and go to timezone, powerbooks, the normal stuff. xxx2 was alright, but i couldn't really see if it was as good or better than the first movie since i didn't watch the first movie. lol. i'd give it an 8.5/10 though, for effects and the like. it was good watching an action movie again. what i'm really excited for though, is star wars. a few more days to go! woohoo! oh yeah, i completed bob ong's book collection that day as well, as i bought "ABNKKBSNPLAKO?!" from powerbooks. yay! now all i have to do is read them all =)). lastly, we took a haircut (my hair looks different again) from the barber shop going home, and bought a bouquet of flowers for our mom. basically, all our money was spent that day, leaving us with NO money at all. i have to ask my mom to reinburse our town expenses =))

yesterday was mothers' day. our mother wasn't at home most of the day because my parents went off to bangkok for the weekend. i greeted some people's mothers a happy mothers' day, and to all i didn't greet, belated happy mothers' day to all mothers in the world. thanks for everything you have given us, and taught us in our life. thanks for all the care that we always receive from you guys. i don't agree with the statement by khalil gibran in the "dekada 70'" book. in objection to what he said, we children do have the responsibility to care for our parents as we grow old, we are not supposed to leave them by the time we get to a mature state, rather, we must stay with them and offer them the same care that they offered to us unconditionally when we were young and couldn't tend for ourselves. as elders say, roles are reversed once you grow old. anyway, we gave our mom the flowers last night when they arrived at home. there were no celebrations, since it was too late in the night. anyway, we slept at their room last night. hehe.

these past few days, rather than concentrating on chatting and blog hopping all day, we've found new things to do, albeit also boring. haha. water guns have been the weapon of choice, between my brother and me. we've been playfully fighting using them. haha. it's fun though, it brings back your inner childhood =)). try it! we've been having a lost marathon too. we've watched episodes 10-20 in the past 2 days, and downloaded lost:the journey. you see, i've become super addicted to it already. i can't wait for the dvd. in fact, i've been experimenting on making these episodes into vcds, and they worked. but the problem is, only 1 episode can fit in a vcd, so imagine creating 20+ vcds T_T. takes a lot of time, and wastes a lot of cds. so right now i'm pretty content in watching it from the pc. at least, before we get the sims 2 game. woohoo. i'm really excited. oh, like pepe, i've been having rather strange dreams lately. dreams i can't explain. they're all school related though, or at least, they involve people from school. one made me extremely nostalgic. haay. is there a dream doctor or something?

on to some random things. school is less than a month away T_T. i don't know, i just always love the summer. i don't like seeing school, or thinking of it. the only thing that makes me desire to wake up early everyday and go to school aside from my future is the company of my friends, and my inspiration. haha. without those, i won't be working as hard, that's for sure. so now i have mixed emotions on school coming up. i just don't want summer to end. i hate thinking, haha. i'd rather that my mind stays relaxed, and i don't get tons of pimples. of course, thankfully, i'll see her again in a month's time. i'm really looking forward to that moment. =) oh, kimi raikkonen won yesterday! woohoo! finally, thank you Lord. oh, and scott is gone from american idol. another celebration. i mean, i feel pity for the guy, but he really should have been gone a long time ago. way before constantine and anwar. haay. well at least the top 3 are there. i wish carrie, vonzell, and bo the best. the harry potter: goblet of fire trailer is out! CELEBRATE! WOOHOO! i can't wait to see the movie. to see the trailer, click here.

tomorrow is my brother jaren's birthday. i think he'll have a friend over. they'll play and stuff i guess. natatawa lang talaga ako kasi isang friend lang ang inimbita niya. hahaha. what could 2 people do to pass an entire day? i guess they have something planned. the water guns may come in handy =))
